The Food & Beverage Houseman supports the successful execution of club dining, banquets, and special events by ensuring all event spaces are properly set, maintained, and reset according to established standards. This role is essential to delivering a seamless member and guest experience through efficient room setups, buffet service support, and general event operations. The Food & Beverage houseman reports to F&B Manager and or catering & events manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform event room setups and breakdowns according to event orders, including table and chair placement.
- Execute room “flips” efficiently between events.
- Set linens, napkins, place settings, centerpieces, and related table décor.
- Install and remove dance floors and other event staging components.
- Set, fill, monitor, and refill buffet lines to ensure proper presentation and cleanliness.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of event spaces before, during, and after functions.
- Transport tables, chairs, linens, service equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Work collaboratively with F&B service, culinary, and event teams to meet timelines and standards.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and club policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior banquet, event setup, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely handle event equipment, furniture, and service items.
